It’s the high standards of passengers’ service that led the Krakow Airport to the leader position among the European regional airports.
The Krakow Airport transformed from a small, military airbase into the biggest regional airport in the country.
The goal of our web design process was to deliver useful, responsive and easy to navigate website.
Our primary purpose was to refresh the Airport brand on the Internet. We created a place, where passengers can find every piece of information they need about their travel, intuitively and logically classified.
It was also essential to enable access to the content dedicated to the B2B sector , e.g. to business partners, airlines representatives or travel agencies.
In the middle of 2012, after the detailed analysis of the previous website and benchmarking process we designed functional mock-ups, user-friendly information architecture and proposed an attractive graphic design to our Client. We also did an up-to-date analysis of the effectiveness of our assumptions during the tests with potential users.
The website was implemented responsively using our custom Crafton CMS.
During the creative process we implemented interactive airport maps, flights’ browser, travel planner, route map based on Google Maps API, interactive airport taxes calculators, frequently asked questions panel, registered users’ section and the arrivals and departures boards which uses the data from the internal IT systems (API integrations).
As a consequence we created a clear, responsive and innovative website. The functionalities we offer enable the users to easily find content they need and significantly increases the sites’ usability. The website offers also the ability to share the content only with the selected users. There’s also an important, advanced section for logged in users. It’s dedicated to the business partners, who have the access to detailed statistics and data.
Shortly after the launch of the website there appeared numerous articles in trade magazines which positively described the partnership between the Airport and our Agency. What’s more, during the 9th Academy of the Internet Webstar competition’s edition the website received the ‘Website of the Year 2013’ statuette in the ‘Traveling and Tourism’ category. Currently, we’re providing an interactive support service on a day-to-day basis and we’re working on the mobile application for the Krakow Airport.
