Shopping, Arts and Business Centre "Stary Browar" is the best shopping centre in Europe, which has over 9 million of visitors each year. Stary Browar is a combination of trade, art and business - you can do shopping, eat well, commune with art and good design or take part in one of many interesting events, such as concerts or meetings with authors. The mall has won many prestigious awards awarded by Polish and international institutions.
The goal of each project was to take every solution to the next level. The new, redesigned website delivered in 2018 had to provide the user with all of the information on how the centre works and had to inform about current events, the news and special offers. A brand-new mobile app was meant to deliver all contents of the website, with additional features.
Our task was also to logically classify and present all of the places and services of the centre. It was also important to provide an interactive plan, which allows the user to find the location and set the direction to each and every place there.
At the same time, each version of the site was supposed to reflect the philosophy behind the Stary Browar shopping center, and thus effectively implement our client's business goals.
The designing process of the first version of the site in 2014 consisted of four parts: users research, creating information architecture, website concept, creating mock-ups and graphic design. During the initial stage of usability research, we conducted analyses of clients’ preferences and expectations, based on which we have optimized the users’ path.
Then, after creating information architecture, defining the website’s concept and creating mock-ups, we were able to design over a dozen unique subpages, adjusted to users’ preferences and expectations. At the final stage, we simultaneously designed two graphic layouts. One of them was a foundation during the subpages creation.
As part of the work on the refreshed version of the site, we focused on changing the graphic design of the site, so that it would be compatible with the new branding of the Gallery and at the same time fit in with the latest trends in design.
Our developers have also updated the back-end of the website so that it would implement all the good programming practices and could ensure the smooth functioning of the new website. The platform has also been fully integrated with the new Stary Browar mobile application, which allows users to see 2d and 3d plans of the buildings to navigate, contains promotional and marketing messagesand useful information about the parking lots, shops or sales.
As a result of intensive design phase, each time we were able to deliver a modern website that fully implements all of our client's business objectives. The currently implemented version of the website stands out from the competition with a excellent layout, optimal information architecture and stable performance. All these elements reflect the idea behind the functioning of the Stary Browar, thus ensuring the balance between the key elements for the mall (trade, art, business). Advanced functionalities (including a multidimensional display of a list of events, a special offers’ panel, interactive sliders and the use of parallax effect) enhance the aesthetic values of the website.
